Spiritual UnderstandingIntroduction
The Kenja training Ken co-founded acknowledges the existence of the spirit.
“When I was 14, I made the postulate that I would look above me rather than around me for inspiration. Ever since, I have done just that. If your attention is on the physical, then you see the things that might hurt you or you might be vulnerable to. But if you keep your attention on the spiritual, you will quickly get into the lighter areas. Your attention will be on the qualities of people, rather than the limitations or liabilities."

Definition of the spirit.
The question is not who are you, rather, what are you? You are a spirit. We are spiritual in essence. We have a body. We have a mind. We have emotions and thoughts. But we are none of these. So what are we? We are spirits. We are aware of being aware.
Throughout his life, Ken Dyers shared his understanding of spiritual purpose.
"The purpose of the spirit in life is to understand and detach from the viewpoints of the human by accepting the human childlike viewpoint as its guide to sanity. As spirits we are separate from all energy and mass. As spirits we are not part of the physical world. To understand this, a person needs to detach from the body and mind –both of which consist of energy. All that is physical must be ‘let go’ and at that point of ‘detachment’ we regain our natural ‘spiritual abilities’ and view the physical world in terms of cause and effect.
All religions, regardless of denomination, teach us that we are a spirit, and are ultimately responsible to a spirit for our thoughts, actions, and the mental and physical health of our bodies. All native cultures around the world also independently acknowledge that we are spiritual in essence."
Definition of the human spirit.
What is the childlike part of us all? It is the human spirit.
The human is a separate spirit in its own right. It is childlike in its simplicity and radiates enthusiasm for life. To deny the existence of the human spirit is to be bereft of wisdom.
We tend to relate the human strongly to the child, because in young children we can see the human in its natural, happy state. The human loves to communicate and reaches out freely. It loves to build and relates strongly to the physical world. The human is just interested in having a successful and joyful life for itself and the body.
As life goes on the human can get suppressed. It gets overwhelmed with the heavy situations life can present, and if it is not respected and acknowledged properly, can lose its vibrancy.
The human spirit is very buoyant. If a person is able to remove the heavy energy that suppressed the human, it will bounce back and the original joy of life experienced as a child will return.
